Positive growth.
In 2023, singer Elza teamed up with Toronto-based producer, and radio personality Sean Savage on his electronic project, “Gruve Collective” which has evolved in nature to include live vocals.
The duo have been writing extensively, and their live performances have quickly garnered attention for their trip-hop influenced take on electronic music. Their songs explore a rich emotional and psychological landscape and present an emotional universe marked by conflict, yearning, and resilience. They speak to navigating personal identity, breaking harmful cycles, grieving past ties, and seeking light within the fog of struggle. Their music seamlessly blends melodic elements with intricate beats and immersive soundscapes.
They recently played their current 10 song 60 minute live set to a packed house after being selected to perform at The Frequency Blind show in Toronto. They performed at the Sanctuary Drone event during Nuit Blanche and they headlined At Breaking Sound.
They headlined Indie Tuesdays at The Linsmore Tavern to a very appreciative crowd. The duo have been hard at work in the studio preparing music for their debut release this year.
Gruve Collective will be performing next on Nov 14th at Duffy’s Tavern.
