In 2023, singer Elza teamed up with Toronto-based producer, and radio personality Sean Savage on his electronic project, “Gruve Collective” which has evolved in nature to include live vocals.

The duo have been writing extensively, and their live performances have quickly garnered attention for their trip-hop influenced take on electronic music. Their songs explore a rich emotional and psychological landscape and present an emotional universe marked by conflict, yearning, and resilience. They speak to navigating personal identity, breaking harmful cycles, grieving past ties, and seeking light within the fog of struggle. Their music seamlessly blends melodic elements with intricate beats and immersive soundscapes.

They continued to blend their vocal melodies with trip hop, downtempo, and leftfield club textures in 2025. Built around emotionally driven songwriting and cinematic electronic production. They performed at several curated Toronto showcases and electronic-focused events. These include TEMOM, Frequencies, Frequencies Blind, Breaking Sound, Ambient Ping & Drone Klub.

Their debut release “Hopeless Hope” with its’ smokey trip-hop beats, and haunting vocals have been placed on several Spotify playlists and added to over 96 specialty radio and chillout rotations.

2026 looks to be another one full of growth and milestones with several live shows already booked and more single releases planned.
